Recently thanks to Gordon Ryan, architectural
designer I had a chance to visit "back stage"
Dublin Contemporary
probably one of the biggest art events in Europe this year.
Clearly I was delighted to see all the setting up of this exhibition, just one week before it started. It s simply fabulous to watch people discussing things, listen to engeneers talks about division walls, electrics being placed in such or such way and making sure everything will work out well.
Obeviousely the visit was also an opportunity to meet artists from around the world, see their art work and carefully watch their peculiar observations ....
Somoene who stroked me with the simplicyty and clearness of his message was
Dan Perjovschi.
Dan was quietly working his way through the walls of the room/hall while everyone around was running, carying boxes, metal frames and all sorts of equiplemt. He was there in silence, holding a black pen in his hend, watching the wall space around the room, than aproaching it and making few, clear lines-----nothing more and nothing less------clear and ironicly witty statement.
